The weather is incredibly unpredictable here on the Peninsula. One moment the area you are in could be shrouded in thick fog, and 5 minutes later, the sun and wind has moved it along for you.
This goes the same for rain. As I drove through Pacific Grove on the way to Asilomar Beach, the rain came down in sheets and the entire sky was menacingly dark with low clouds. An hour before, the weather had been sparkling bright in PG, so this was a bit of a disappointment.
When I met up with this fun family, I hung out with them in their car and we watched the cool double rainbow, and as we waited, the clouds moved along and the sun came out. The choir in heaven couldn't have "Ahhhhhh"'d any better! A few minutes later we were down on the beach and the rocks and had a glorious time.
What I learned at this session: If I want the seagulls in the images with my clients, bring a couple of slices of bread. :D
Thanks to the O family for a great session. It was a LOT of fun!
